The Business

Approaching 20 years in business, our client has grown to become an industry-leading electrical contractor providing electro-mechanical installations, control panel integration, maintenance, and testing & inspection services to the Aggregates, Quarrying, and Food & Beverage sectors.

Recognised nationally for their craftsmanship, their impressive project portfolio ranges from smaller control panel builds to full turnkey production line projects valued up to £1M. Their customers include major names such as Aggregate Industries, Hanson, Komatsu, Tarmac, Terex, Cemex, Airbus, and Kendall.

They operate across two sites – a 1.2-acre facility in Wales and a new office in Sheffield – both housing design and manufacturing capabilities. Most control panels and electrical systems are built in-house before being commissioned on-site by their engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer specialising in Siemens TIA Portal to join a team that values both technical expertise and project ownership, combining programming and commissioning across complete lifecycle projects.

  • Control Systems Engineering within the Aggregates, Quarrying, and Building Products sectors.
  • Take technical briefs from the Project Manager and assist with front-end design and control system layout.
  • Program and configure control systems using Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Write PLC code from scratch for various project sizes and I/O counts.

  • Support the project lifecycle from concept through to completion.
