Location: North London

Starting Salary: £55,000 P/A

Hours of Work: Continental Shifts (2 Days / 2 Nights + 4 Days Off)

Overtime Rates: x1.5 and x2 for Bank Holidays

The Role: Maintenance Electrician

Plant List: Ball Mill, Conveyors, Shredders, Separators, Compactors, Balers, Control Panels.

  • Electrical maintenance and breakdown repair across diverse plant machinery to minimise downtime.
  • Fault finding using PLCs, Multimeters, and schematic diagrams.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance and electrical testing.
  • Control Panel wiring and fitting — replacing components in Proximity Switches, Three Phase Motors, Relays, and Contactors.

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Installation/Service Engineer, or Control Panel Wireman.
  • City & Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance or Installation (ideally via recognised apprenticeship).
  • Preferred backgrounds: Recycling, Aggregates, Waste, Water Treatment, Abattoirs, Steel, or General Manufacturing.
