Basic Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 p/a
Shifts: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

The Role: Service Engineer

  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance to fix a variety of breakdowns occurring on CNC production machinery
  • Repairing multi-axis CNC machines, manual machine tools, EDM machines, drilling and milling machines, and lathes
  • Maintaining lifting and materials handling equipment across the plant
  • Performing PPMs and routine maintenance – oil changes, bearing replacements, lubrication, greasing components, and replacing worn parts
  • Carrying out some PLC fault finding and working through drawings (Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley)
  • Handing over from the day shift team and completing any remaining tasks or repairs

Entry Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Maintenance Engineer, including at least 2 years fixing CNC machinery
  • Skills: Multi-skilled (preferably electrically biased, but mechanical bias with electrical competency will be considered)
  • Preferred Industry Experience: CNC, Tier 1 Automotive/Aerospace manufacturing, General Manufacturing, Food, Aggregates, or Pharmaceutical
  • Qualifications: Apprenticeship trained with City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical (or Mechanical) Maintenance/Installation
