Approved Electrician
Industry: Industrial – Factories, Warehouses & Quarries
Annual Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 P/A (Comfortably achievable)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40–50 hours per week (typically 6/7 AM start – 3/4 PM finish)
Benefits: Fully Expensed Company Van, Door-to-Door Overtime at x1.5 (for hours over 40), 8% Pension, 28 Days Holiday (including Bank Holidays), Sick Pay Scheme.
Location: East Midlands & UK Projects – 50% East Midlands / 50% Out of Town.

Auxtronic is partnered with a leading electrical contractor with over 50 years of experience delivering high-quality installations and maintenance services to clients in the Food & Beverage, Aggregates, Quarrying, and Rail industries.
They specialise in industrial electrical installations — delivering a wide variety of electrical projects including control panels, site electrical and facilities enhancements, machinery installations, EV charger points, air conditioning, three-phase distribution boards, and BMS systems.
A family-run and team-focused business employing around 30 people and turning over more than £1M annually, they have a full order book and strong overtime availability for Approved Electricians looking for stable and rewarding work.
Their engineering team includes Project Managers, Electrical Design Engineers, Lead Electricians, Industrial Electricians, Workshop Engineers, and Technical Support Teams.
The Role: Approved Electrician
- Carry out electrical installations across the East Midlands, working within a team of electricians to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and on time.
- Projects include Power & Lighting, Control Panels, Electrical Equipment Installations, Wiring, Trunking, Cable Joining, Containment, LV Electrics, and 3-Phase Distribution Boards.
- Undertake facilities improvements and upgrades across industrial sites.
- Work from schematic drawings to ensure all installations meet specification and quality requirements.
- Sign off on completed work, ensuring compliance with electrical standards and health & safety procedures.
Entry Requirements
- Qualifications: Approved Electrician with City & Guilds 2391/2395, JIB Gold Card or ECS Card, AM2, 18th Edition, and a completed Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Industrial Electrician carrying out electrical installations within factories, warehouses, or heavy industrial environments.
