Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hulland Ward, Derbyshire
Annual Salary: £47,585 P/A
Additional Overtime Earnings: +£8,500 (comfortably achievable)
Shifts: Double Days
- Week 1: Monday – Friday 6:15 am – 3:00 pm (with Saturday 6 am – 12 pm cover)
- Week 2: Monday – Thursday 2:45 pm – 12:30 am

The 85-acre Hulland Ward site produces over half of the group’s concrete output — including paving slabs and concrete blocks supplied to major merchants such as EH Smiths, Wickes and B&Q.

The Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Machinery List: Conveyor Systems, Bagging Machines, Mixing Tanks, Holding Hoppers, Drying Systems, Robots (Fanuc, ABB & Cougar), Pumps, Weighing Systems, Kilns, Palletisers and Control Panels.
- Perform electrical maintenance within a high-speed concrete manufacturing plant.
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and repair machinery efficiently.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), servicing equipment and replacing worn components.
- Assist with installations and site improvement projects involving LV & 3-phase equipment.
- Fault find using Allen Bradley PLCs, multi-meters and electrical schematics.
Entry Requirements
- Qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Maintenance or Installation (preferably through a recognised apprenticeship).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer — ideally within heavy industries such as Aggregates, Quarrying or Recycling (but not essential).
