Maintenance Fitter
Location: Walsall
Starting Salary: £47,500 P/A
Hours of work: Continental Shifts (4on/4off).
Overtime rates: x1.5 and x2 for any bank holidays worked

The role: Mechanical Maintenance Fitter – Repairing machinery and carrying out PPM’s.
Plant list: Conveyors, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Pipework, Valves, Pneumatics/Hydraulics.
- Breakdown maintenance – fault finding and repairing machinery to minimise downtime.
- Mechanical Fitting – replacing faulty gearboxes, motors, pumps, bearings, belts, rollers, chains and drives.
- Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance on machinery – oiling, greasing, lubricating and replacing worn components.
Entry requirements:
- 5 Years experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, Maintenance Engineer, Installation/Service Engineer or Fabricator/Fitter.
- City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 qualified in Mechanical Maintenance (ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship).
- Ideal industry experience: Recycling, Aggregates, Waste, Water Treatment, Abattoirs, Steel or General Manufacturing.
