Location: Midlands

Starting Salary: £35,000 P/A

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Approaching 50 years in business, our client has grown to become an industry-leading Welding & Fabrication specialist providing MIG & TIG welding, maintenance, and general fitting/fabrication services to the Aggregates, Quarrying, Heavy Manufacturing, and Recycling sectors.

Nationally recognised for their craftsmanship and now investment-backed, they employ over 30 skilled engineers in the UK and achieve an impressive £3 million annual turnover.

The Role

  • Workshop-based MIG Welder/Fabricator producing and repairing mild steel projects for clients including CAT, Tarmac, and Hanson.
  • Carry out repairs, refurbishments, and MIG welding of various plate types.
  • Work from engineering drawings, performing fitting, fabrication, and related workshop duties.
  • Assist with bespoke fabrication projects to customer specifications.

Hiring Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years as a MIG Welder, ideally with fabrication experience.
  • Qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC Level 2 or 3 in Welding (preferably via a recognised apprenticeship).
