Heavy Industry: Aggregates, Brick/Cement manufacturing plants and Quarries.

Salary: £49,920 p/a (£24 p/h) 

Hours: Monday-Friday 8 hour days, starting from home each morning.

Ideal locations: Swindon, Reading, Andover, Oxford, Bicester or Milton Keynes

Weekly: X1.3

Saturday: X1.5

Sunday: X2

The Company:
Approaching 30 Years in business, our client has grown to become an industry leading electrical contractor providing electro-mechanical installations, maintenance and periodic testing and inspections services to the Aggregates, Quarrying and Food/Beverages manufacturing sectors. 

Recognised nationally for their craftsmanship, they employ over 50 skilled Electrical Engineers in the UK and have plans to grow the business from £10m to £15m. To fulfill this growth, they are beginning an exciting expansion into the South of England, building a team of five to further their service offering to multi-site manufacturers that require plant maintenance, testing and installations in the South.

The Role

Mobile Maintenance Electrician 

– Electro-mechanical maintenance within brick manufacturing plants, fault finding on a range of PLC controlled machinery.

– Test & inspection of control panels on customer sites, writing reports on deviations.

– Electrical Installations within new and existing aggregate processing plants.

Entry Requirements:

  • Qualifications: City and Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance, ideally gained through an apprenticeship.

  • Experience: 5 Years either maintaining or installing machinery within the Aggregates, Recycling, Water, Metals or any heavier general manufacturing or food production environments.

  • Attitudes: Confident working alone and as part of a team, professional and flexible when required for customers.
