Nights Technician
Location: Ilkeston
Starting Salary: £55,518 P/A
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Nights)
Overtime Rates: x1.5 and x2 for any Sundays or Bank Holidays worked

The Business
Operating nationally across three facilities, our client specialises in the treatment and recycling of liquid chemicals, processing over 200,000 tonnes annually.
The Ilkeston site offers exceptional job security in a recession-proof industry with no direct competitors within 150 miles.
The engineering department is a close-knit, loyal team with a strong retention rate — many of the management team have been with the company for over a decade. The business is expanding rapidly and places heavy emphasis on training and professional development within engineering.
The Role: Maintenance Electrician
- Perform electrical maintenance across the site on a range of machinery and plant equipment including conveyors.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Perform control panel wiring, testing, and fault diagnosis.
- Replace and install single-phase and three-phase motors.
Hiring Requirements
- Qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Manufacture or Maintenance (ideally through a recognised apprenticeship).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Electrical Fitter, Maintenance Electrician, Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer, or Ex-Forces Engineer.
