The Role: Electrical Project Manager

  • Responsible for managing key electrical installation projects throughout the East Midlands.
  • Lead projects ranging in complexity and value from £250k to £1.5m within industrial environments such as Food & Beverages and Distribution Centres.
  • Manage full project lifecycle — from concept and design through to completion and client handover.
  • Oversee projects including new installations, site enhancements, automation upgrades, and PLC integration.
  • Manage direct reports including Project Engineers, Lead Electricians, and teams of staff & subcontractors.
  • Ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Project Manager and 3 years in a related role such as Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Design/PLC Programmer (with commissioning experience), Lead Electrician, Electrical Supervisor, or Electrical Chargehand.
  • Foundational Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Industrial Electrician.
  • Qualifications: Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering preferred. Apprenticeship-trained Level 3 Electricians with 2391/2395, JIB Gold Card, and AM2, with a clear record of progression, will also be considered.
